Sasi Bush Lodge-From game drives to birdwatching

Sasi Bush Lodge is an all-inclusive luxury tented accommodation in Drakensberg. This place is surrounded by the beautiful mountains of the area. It is here where you may find your serenity, cut yourself off from the abnormality that consumes our daily lives and reconnect to nature and a sense of privacy.

A luxury tented bush camp on a private game farm in the Northern Drakensberg.
Just as you walk in, you are greeted by a wooden deck with an inset rim-flow pool overlooking the expanse of the Drakensberg Mountain range. This is the perfect spot for you to enjoy your Gin and tonic while relaxing under the African sun.
Each unit has been designed with the Drakensberg elements in mind- tented canvas panels which can be fully opened to get the feeling of being one with nature; a solid wall with a large fixed glass window for stability and protection from the prolific North-Westerly Berg wind, creating the perfect backdrop for a warm bath while framing the indigenous fauna and flora; an open plan living/ bathroom area so that your views are undisturbed; a private toilet; a kitchenette with all the necessities for a comfortable stay and a wooden deck from where you may marvel at your surroundings.

Dining
Rates include all meals and can be enjoyed in the dining room. Limited drinks are included on in the game drives and in your private unit, along with a tea and coffee making station. The only thing I can fault is how they have a standard meal they serve each day. Unlike most lodges (hotels) where there is a variety and you get to pick from the menu. It doesn’t work like that here.
Experience
Kilburn Game Drives are included in the rates, allow you to journey through an untouched land of indigenous flora and fauna and marvel at the beauty that surrounds you.
Also included is the Rock Art Paintings, describing an ancient land of abundance and natural riches. You get to learn more about the people that created them and the meanings behind each one.
Oh, my favourite was the morning 10km hike from the Tugela Falls to Kilburn Farm's very own ‘Big Rock.' You get to encounter a delicate balance between nature and man-made activities.  I cannot emphasis the breathe taking natural beauty you see as you on this guided walk. It’s just one of those things you have to see yourself.

Overall
This is the perfect place if you want some quiet time away from the city, to reconnect with nature and just recuperate.
